Tongji International Construction Festival 2024 was held from June 3 to June 9, 2024 at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. 5 students from Kyushu University joined the workshop.
Participating teams include 13 student teams from Tongji University, as well as 17 student teams from China’s architectural colleges, and 7 student teams from architectural colleges in the US, Europe, and Asia. In total, 37 teams competed to design and construct plastic hollow panel buildings along with the theme “Listening to the Voice.”
The concept of Team Kyushu University was a sound kaleidoscope. They completed to construct the tower, which is made in reference to the structure of origami, is covered with a number of folds.
