The international summer urban design workshop was held with the participation of Texas A & M University, Chinese Culture University, Tongji University, and Busan National University at the Ito Campus of Kyushu University.
Student groups from five universities proposed urban design proposals for small 6 urban areas along the JR line in Nijo of Itoshima City. The main goal of this project was to propose suitable activities that utilize natural resources such as the Genkai Sea, coast, water, pine trees, agriculture, forests, and fisheries while paying the highest attention to the preservation of nature. Students answered the questions, how to spend daily life after Corona? What is the image of a sustainable environment, community, and lifestyle for decades to come?
