Due to COVID-19, we only could have online English seminar for the first semester.
We finally could conduct face to face lessons for English seminar on December.
Students could learn how to give a presentation in English by acquiring four English skills. The lessons mainly focused on “Speaking” skills which is demand to have when they give a presentation or study abroad. The lesson plan is following.
1.Motivation (Develop and present an action plan to help you achieve an English goal)
2.Japan (Research an overseas festival and give a short talk about it)
3.Entertainment (Produce a visual to explain weekly time usage. Describe and express opinions with it)
4.Your Major (Interview a classmate about a familiar topic)
5.Right VS Wrong (Preview next class by answering question on pg.32)
6.Famous Places (Short talk on a famous place)
7.Study Habit (Write a short dialogue concerning a familiar problem)
8.Social Media (Short talk on pros and cons of your university)
9.University Life (Make a poster to highlight a University problem, it’s cause and possible solutions)
